Winnie Johnson Dies.

The day after all the furore about Moors murderer Ian Brady apparently sending a letter containing the location of the grave of Keith Bennett - the only one of his victims whose body has never been recovered - Keith Bennett's mother Winnie Johnson has died at the age of 78 after losing a long battle with cancer. Apparently Mrs Johnson was never told about scandal surrounding the letter but with it on the front page of almost every newspaper and on all the 24 hour news channels it seems impossible that she couldn't have heard at least something. Therefore the death feeds into that whole argument about hands-off assassinations because there is a possibility that Mrs Johnson tireless campaigning over her son's irritated someone enough that they decided to make up the letter story to pile extra emotion stress on her to push her over the edge and shut her up for good.

It was that realisation (plus last night's booze) that meant that I spent starting today by vomiting.
