Clearly some of my neighbours over the back missed the blatant Ramones reference in my previous post. So as soon as it was published they decided to turn up the music and move the 'birthday party' they were having out into the garden for everyone to hear. As a result I didn't get to sleep until gone 02:00 which is about the same time I got to sleep the night before and the night before that. That's the problem with some people though. Distract them with something shiny and they'll believe any old cr*p. Seriously they're of West Indian descent so the fact Usain Bolt's good at his job makes them think they're good at theirs.
Anyway the final event of the 2012 London Olympics the men's basketball final begins at 14:00 and then it's just the closing ceremony. Due to having a lot less time to set up the stage in the Olympic stadium this will be nowhere near as spectacular as the opening ceremony. In fact from what I've heard it'll be much more like that Sunday night British TV tradition - the karaoke contest although you might know it better as the "X-Factor."
