While I went to the shop to buy a newspaper I also picked up a bottle of Latvian vodka. After falling out with it for a number of years I've suddenly re-discovered my taste for it. This has got my father alarmed because he's yet to realises that 25ml of a spirit that's 40% alcohol actually contains less alcohol then 500ml of a beer that's 5% alcohol. All this demonstrates is that people in Britain aren't really very good at percentages explaining the success of all those pay-day loan companies.
