Obama Wins 2012 Election.

Well Republican candidate Mitt Romney today announced Paul Ryan as his running mate. Actually days after he offered his condolences to America's Sheik community over last Sunday's (5/8/12) mass shooting in Wisconsin and weeks after he offended most of the nations on his international tour the 'Romney-shambles' as British Conservatives have named him declared Paul Ryan to be America's next President which I think technically means that Romney's withdrawn from the 2012 Presidential race.

As something of an economic fantasist Ryan has obviously been picked to appease members of the Tea Party who see Romney as too close to the Republican establishment which they view as not being conservative enough. It would be a shame if this group were to play too large a role in choosing the USA's next President because along with the neo-cons they've yet to realise that if she were alive today rather then being hailed as an ideological hero Ayn Rand would quickly be diagnosed as autistic and written off as the mental defective she so clearly is. Personally I thought that the Romney camp would have gone with Marco Rubio because he would have appealed to both the Tea Party and the Hispanic vote. The fact that they went with Ryan suggests that they think all these new voter ID rules mean that ethnic minority voters won't be an issue in states with Republican Governors.

With almost perfect timing just as people were discussing a Republican becoming the next US President Iran was struck by a large earthquake like explosion that's killed around 180 and injured more then 1300. Also 39 people were killed today after a bus crashed off the Shinola pass in India and crashed down a gorge. Based on my extensive knowledge gained from watching "Ice Road Truckers" and the "Top Gear India Special" I'm pretty much sure that this was just an accident waiting to happen. However it does call into focus India's infrastructure problems that could well be improved by taking a more sustainable, green approach to development.

Or to put it another way hasn't the weather being wonderful for the Olympics? Although I think I'll wait until later in the week to explain that more fully because I think it's probably best to leave Hebrew mythology until after the Olympic closing ceremony.

23:30 on 11/8/12.
