Ahead of Monday's Republican National Convention (RNC) in Florida, USA some federal agency has issued a warning that anarchist terrorists intend to target bridges and other arterial roads close to the convention centre. This means that some anarchists hope to attract enough people to blockade bridges/roads in a totally peaceful anti-wto 1999 battle in seattle style. Honestly at this point I'd be more worried about the actual weather rather then the weathermen.
Unfortunately I can give an assessment of the potential damage Tropical Storm Isaac will do to Hispanola and the wider West Indies because my Blackberry battery is about to die and appropriately enough I'm really busy with other things.
In fact I only mention the RNC because after the federal warning was issued London's Metropolitan Police decided to add vehicle checkpoints to London's bridges as part of "Operation Pegasus." Pegasus is of course the 2012 name for the Metropolitan Polices annual 'stop, search, arrest, irritate and annoy anything that moves before the Notting Hill Carnival' operation.
