Have the Saudis Worked it Out Yet.

for reasons that are not yet clear i've just watched teamgb win a gold medal in the men's team show jumping event following a 'jump off' (nope me neither) against the netherlands. saudi arabia who were the surprise leaders at the start of the day ended up with bronze. this was an attempt to discuss the responses to last night's events. the brits were given first place for their subtlty in setting up the story of the man who threw the bottle on the track before the 100m final. the dutch were marked down because one of the judo players apparently slapped the bottle thrower.the saudi's were really marked down for their throat cutting threat which technically represents a public order offence in the uk. the bottle thrower has being charged an in the last hour has pleaded not guilty at magistrates court but i'm not sure of the exact offence but probably public nuisance.

edited at around 16:25 on 6/8/12 to add the bottle thrower has been charged under section 5 of the 1986 public order act. the saudi runner should be charged under section 4 of the same act.
