Bit of a brave move from a local soldier. They must have missed that bit about Prince Phillip being driven to hospital because his helicopter was unable to land. So yeah that's the head of state worrying about snatch squads.

Actually there's been a bit of an update on the local news front actually. You may remember that ages ago there was a fatal shooting in "Langdale Road" (the road just behind mine) which apparently the FBI had some intercept evidence on. Well on Thursday (16/8/12) Britain's Metropolitan police arrested a one "Christopher Thomas" (21, black) in Brixton. He will appear before Bexley Magistrates Court on Wednesday (22/8/12). This is interesting because normally if the police were to deprive someone of their liberty by charging them with an offence such as murder they would have to put them in front of a Magistrate the next working day in order to establish there is sufficient evidence to reasonably believe that they had committed the alleged offence and that they had not been mistreated in custody. It will also put a lot of pressure on the USA because it's not the name everybody else has been hearing. I'm sure it'll have to go up to Crown Court though.
