If it's Good Enough for the Jacksons

S

It's not good enough for me. Today a Judge in the USA has appointed Micheal Jackson's mother Katherine and his nephew TJ joint guardians of Micheal Jackson's three children. This can't possibly be a reference to my grandmother's case because as explained yesterday both my father and brother have proved themselves unfit persons to hold a power of attorney and therefore have excluded themselves from acting as a part or full attorney.

Edited at around 22:00 on 22/8/12 to add:

Still struggling with the teeny tiny keypad. It's OK though the issue at the heart of the Jackson case is whether the grandmother was placed under undue pressure to enter into the agreement. The issue at the heart of my grandmother's case is whether a person who has allowed their charge to be unlawfully imprisoned and blocked an investigation into alleged GBH (both criminal offenses) can be a fit person to hold a power of attorney. Therefore there is no connection between the two cases. Pretty careless timing from the US though because that's exactly the sort of thing that will give the Brits false hope. With the minimum terms raising to two senior Judges being jailed and all their cases re-opened false hope is exactly the sort of thing the US would want to avoid.
