The Dems are a bit Dim.

sorry but i'm still thinking about the todd akin comments. as soon as he made his 'legitimate rape' comments the democrat party leaped on the issue in the hope of winning over female swing voters. however i think it was so obvious to anyone with any knowledge of us politics that he was talking about rape being used to procure abortion rather then rape itself i think plenty more people would have looked at that and thought; "the democrats clearly think we're idiots. there's no way i'm voting for them.

i think there is a teachable moment in there about the importance of setting the momentum of the argument.
