May the Bullying Begin.

Today TeamGB's Nicola Adams won the first ever women's boxing Olympic gold medal after defeating China's Ren Cancan in the fly-weight final. Already both the USA and Qatar have enquired if Ms Adams is somehow mentally retarded - you know before she started boxing. Coming so soon after the Gu Kailai trial many were interested to know if perhaps the Chinese just let Ms Adams win. Part of this enquiry was the Orange Men of the Netherlands being seen to give TeamGB a thrashing by beating them 9-2 at men's hockey semi-final. In the end all this pressure paid off and China were forced to demonstrate to TeamGB that they 'so could win the kicking contest(!)' by allowing Jade Jones to beat Yuzhuo Hou to take gold in the women's under 57kg taekwondo final. TeamGB also won a gold in the dressage event but even both my parents who kept horses before they swapped them for children think that event is stupid.

Away from TeamGB Usain Bolt won the men's 200m final to the surprise of absolutely no-one. There was some excitement in track & field though when South Africa's Oftense Mogawane fell after possible contact with Kenya's Mamu Kiilu in the heat of the men's 4x400m relay. Suffering a dislocated shoulder Mogawane was unable to complete the race meaning that South Africa were unable to qualify for the final. So South Africa appealed and their team including double amputee Oscar Pistorius were allowed to compete in the final. The USA decided to side with Kenya by making up some story about how Manteo Mitchell ran his heat with a broken leg. This could possibly be over Somalia or the DRC but to be honest the USA seem to have been in a bit of wild panic today although I seem to have suddenly run out of words even if they did spoil it all be 'accidentally' releasing photographs of Trayvon Martin's corpse in an attempt to force the US to tighten up on information leaks or possibly a subtle attack on Obama's Whitehouse war on whistle-blowers that has been likened to the McCarthy-era. Either way I doubt it will end well.

In the Olympic host nation the Internet has been abuzz with gossip about a Twitter troll who apparently said something offensive about "Take That's" "Gary Barlow" who was rumoured to be appearing at the Olympic closing ceremony until his wife miscarried the couple's daughter "Poppy" on I think Tuesday (7/8/12). As this is clearly an issue that's not going to go away I will say that yes that is theoretically possible especially if you use Methotrexate. If you don't know what Methotrexate is try typing the words "Buy Methotrexate Online" into any search engine and be prepared to show the USA's political right just how spectacularly they've lost that abortion debate.
