Apparently Eric Joyce is Out.

According to my Twitter timeline the MP Eric Joyce was reported released from police custody some three hours ago. Taking a SWAG I would say that was roughly 18:30 - just in time for the 19:00 start of Comic Relief.

Currently the police are saying there will be "no further charges at this time." That it is clearly factually incorrect.

After all there should be criminal charges against all the police officers who affected his arrest, the custody sargent who authorised his detention, the two police officers who mistakenly believed they had the lawful authority to even speak to Mr Joyce and any members of the "Parliamentary Authorities" who gave the police the mistaken belief they could approach Mr Joyce.

There should also be criminal charges against against any police officers or members of the 'Parliamentary Authorities" involved in Mr Joyce's Strangers Bar arrest along with the Judge who agreed to hear the case and any members of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) who acted for the prosecution.

Also any convictions relating to the MP's expenses scandal are to be overturned and criminal proceedings against the Judge who wrongly thought he had the authority to rule on Parliamentary Privilege and any other agents of the Crown who acting in those prosecutions.

22:30 on 15/3/13.
