At around 22:55 I've just discovered Obama's decided to do both. First he is appearing in Kabul to formally sign a deal with President Karzai promising around USD23bn until 2021. Then he's going to address the US troops and people at around 19:30 Eastern Standard Time (EST) according to CNN.
If anyone needs me at around 23:00GMT on 1/5/12 I'll be off trying to fix music.
