The Chen Guangcheng

This week US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's farewell tour takes her to China. In preparation for this the Chinese authorities sent blind, self taught human rights lawyer Chen Ghuangcheng to seek sanctuary in the US Embassy in Bejing in a echo of the Bo Xilai case. Today (2/5/12) the US have kicked Chen Guangcheng out of the Embassy saying that he will be allowed to return to live in peace with his family. To me at least this US move is reminiscent of a toddler throwing a tantrum. The whole thing is part of a wider US effort to get China to expose themselves by playing a bigger role in the international community. One element of this is trying to get China to take more responsibility for keeping me on the Internet. Personally I don't see why it's China's responsibility because everything that's happened to me over the past 6 years is the result of a US fantasy. It's hardly China's fault that the US hasn't got what it wanted.

Britain has also decided to chip in on the effort by making a fuss about the anniversary of the Madeline McCann disappearance/murder. This could be a reference to Mrs Patricia Hogg who played the role of a Judge in both the ruling the Madeline McCann was still alive and my grandmother's Court of Protection (COP) case. It could also be a reference to any number of the people care about who've had their lives destroyed. I actually think that if this nonsense is kept up for much longer China could well respond by withdrawing almost entirely from the international community only popping up occasionally to veto United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions on Syria.

Oh and in other news around 11 people are reported killed in rioting outside the Ministry of Defence building in Egypt's capital Cairo. So can I just take a moment to again say what a brilliant idea it was to push ahead with Libya and Syria rather then allowing the Egyptian revolution to take hold. No wonder Obama's only claim to foreign policy success is that he once sent some men to kill another man.
