With the death toll still rising and a vast number of people still without power I think it is a little early to start talking about investigations. However I'm almost certain the Breezy Point fire was arson. The primary objective was of course the contracts to redevelop the site. The secondary objective was to restart that very complicated and very real debate that's been going on at the fringes of the COP18/CMP8 process about whether or not Rihanna controls the weather. The fact that Republican representative Bob Turner's house was one of those destroyed was simple misdirection designed to increase votes for the Republican Party by making it look like Obama's Democrat camp were responsible. Personally I think we're looking at private money.
