At around 18:00 (19:00 local) yesterday (1/10/12) a five year old girl "April Jones" was seen getting into a grey coloured van in Machynlleth mid-Wales and has not been seen since. Although in New Jersey, USA a massive social media hunt has been going on since Sunday (30/9/12) for a 16 year old girl who has gone missing in what appears to be a hoax apart from the obvious I can't immediately think of anything more sinister in the April Jones case. What I think is quite good though is that because the town of Machynlleth is surrounded by woodland and farmland the entire town appears to have stopped to allow the local residents to search the surrounding area freeing up the police to do the more complicated part of the investigation.
