The Petaerus Death Spiral Continues.

Driven primarily by Fox News the US is adamant it is going to be pushing ahead with the David Petaerus scandal. The story that already forced the resignation of Obama's appointee as head of the CIA now looks as though it will attempt to expand to force the resignation of Obama's appointee as US Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama appointed Commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Afghanistan General John Allen. As there is currently an ongoing review into US troop levels in Afghanistan this last one looks particularly damaging. Curiously though the controversy also looks likely to keep Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in her post for that little bit longer which is a shame because as I've previously mentioned Clinton sucks so hard at her job I'm tempted to make a really inapporiate joke.

The element of the story about whether Pataerus' mistress divulged classified information and the bit about the FBI agent who became obsessed with the woman are just puff peices attempting to heap pressure on Rihanna ahead of her tour. Without out going into any level of detail I should point out she has nothing to worry about because I've been doing this since she was about 12 years old so I had a pretty good idea what I was getting into before I took the job on.

Seriously though I think it is time for the Yanks to accept the election result, put down the suicide mission and crack on with that restraining order. They won't though because despite all the evidence to the contrary they still believe that by pushing Dianne Feinstein to the fore will sell everybody on the idea that there is some internal power struggle going on over the issue when there clearly isn't. Feinstein would be better advised to stick to state issues at this time though.
