In the 1971 James Bond film "Live and Let Die" was Francois 'Papa Doc' Duvalier the notorious dictator of Haiti between 1950 and 1971. However in order to make him believable as a villain the Bond producers had to tone him down significantly. As a result a relationship between the nation and the film franchise has existed ever since as referenced by Haiti's appearance in the 2008 Bond film "Quantum of Solace" - the final part of which we are still waiting for.
Or as I think I put it more succinctly at the time; Live and Let Die you Metallica loving m*therf*ckers!
