In the Past Hour,

The polls have closed, the TV coverage has begun and the Electoral Commission have give Nigel Farage permission to die from his injuries if he so wishes.

The absolute worst possible outcome from Britain's General Election is that the Conservatives win 325 seats, just one short of an outright majority. Due to a UKIP candidate rudely dying during the campaign the election in Thirsk and Malton has been delayed until May 27th. In this case the result of the election and the fate of 47 million British voters will depend on the mood swings of a random guy called Trevor.

The more likely result is that the Conservatives will win 280-300 seats and a lot of bickering will follow. The first non-argument will be by people who wrongly think that they have the right to vote after 22:00. This will be followed by an argument between Labour and the LibDems to see if they can form a coalition. Then there will be an argument between the Conservatives and the LibDems to see if they can form a coalition. Finally there will be an argument to see if the Conservatives can go it alone in minority government so I'm not expecting to a see a result this side of the weekend.

Personally I will be going to bed around midnight because I don't see the point in disrupting my sleep pattern waiting for a result that was brought and paid for back in 2009.
