Having finally got near a computer I'm getting up on the UK's Autumn Budget Statement so that will have to come later. In the meantime though I have to point out something that's been annoying me for ages. Last night on Twitter Rihanna retweeted another one of those quotes about Pieces - her star sign. It said simply that "#Pieces woman want a man who dominates her, who leads and is strong." This is a sentiment that has been repeated in various other Pieces retweets and her GQ interview. It is though transparently b*llocks. It's pretty obvious to people who think about these sort of things that Rihanna is effectively marrying below herself in the Chris Brown relationship in order to take on a sort of caring/parental role in the relationship in order to regain some of the power and control that she lacks in her professional life as a something of a pop puppet. That's just another in a long line of reasons why their relationship is highly dysfunctional and seriously unhealthy. Hopefully the US will put an end to it soon though because the Judges summing up in the Dewani trial was pretty damning.
