As was foreseen by all the main topic of discussion at COP21 is not whether climate change is man-made - after that argument was settled long ago. Nor is over whether the agreement currently on the table is good enough to solve the problem.
Instead the question is whether nations daring to sign up to that agreement will come under terrorist attack.
Kenya kicked things off yesterday with reports of panic after gunshots were fired at Strathmore University in the capital Nairobi. Within climate change circles Nairobi is of course synonymous with the "Nairobi Work Program on Loss & Damage."
The intention of this incident which has since been attributed to a training exercise was of course to invoke memories of the April 2nd (2/4/15) attack on Kenya's Garissa University in which 148 people were murdered. Unfortunately it seemed to do that a little too well and one person was killed in the panic at Strathmore University.
The US response to this was the security alert at Illinois University in Chicago. Obviously in the immediate confusion of the news breaking this was intend to shake down Kenya to find out what they meant by the Strathmore incident. For example the area of Illinois University that was most affected is named after Hyde Park in London, UK.
Eventually though it emerged that the threat was the result of a member of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement threatening to shoot dead 16 white people in revenge for the Laquan McDonald case. This obviously confirmed to Kenya that US President Obama is a firm supporter of terrorism and therefore will be doing nothing to assist them.
Later that day Obama himself confirmed that message by announcing that the US is prepared to lie in order to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Turkey despite Turkey invading Syrian air-space to shoot down a Russian Su-24 in what would normally be considered an act of war.
Although I think it is a chain of events that has been set in motion rather then something anybody is using to intentionally disrupt COP21 there is still this issue of the terrorist bombing of Kogalymavia flight 7K9268 on October 31st (31/10/15) in which 224 Russian civilians were murdered.
On November 18th (18/11/15) the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack. Turkey's support for ISIL is of course well established.
For example as I write Turkey is currently prosecuting a number of police officers, judges and newspaper editors for stopping a weapons shipment to forces associated with ISIL. In Turkey NOT supplying weapons to ISIL is apparently considered treason.
Under the precedent set in International Criminal Court (ICC) V Charles Taylor (2012) even if Turkey did not directly order 7K9268 to be bombed their support for ISIL means that they are directly responsible for those 224 murders.
As a result there is a lot of interest in how Russia will respond to this Turkish act of war against them. The explosive used to bring down 7K9268 was TATP which unlike traditional plastic explosives is a powder similar to flour. Therefore flour has become the metaphor for these discussions.
For example last Thursday (26/11/15) flour was discovered at the Grand Mosque in Brussels, Belgium in an attempt to muscle in on French President Francois Hollande's visit to Russia.
As an member of the European Union (EU) Belgium must've known full well that it intended to reward Turkey to the tune of USD3.5bn on Sunday (29/11/15). Therefore it seemed to be hoping that 7K9268 would never be spoken of again.
In response to Sunday's EU/Turkey Russian aircraft attacked a Turkish facility within Syria that Turkey claims was a "Bakery" providing humanitarian assistance to the Syria. This was intended to send the message that no matter how hard the EU and NATO try to cover it up Russia won't be forgetting about 7K9268.
Today Turkey has announced that it will be sending 15,000 tonnes of flour to Gaza, Palestine. The primary message here is that with the EU and NATO at it's side Turkey will continue to export terrorism across the globe despite Russia's objections.
However it also touches on the way that Turkish President/Prime Minister/Emperor Recept Tayyip Erdogan and various assorted scumbags have exploited the Palestinians to portray themselves a "good" Muslims fulfilling the religions third pillar of "Zakat."
Quite why anyone still falls for that is a bit of a mystery to me because since Erdogan started 'helping' the security situation for both Israelis and Palestinians has deteriorated dramatically.
While I've been writing an explosion has occurred at the Bayrampasa underground rail/metro station in Istanbul, Turkey. It is currently being blamed on an exploding electrical transformer.
However if it is attributed to a bomb it will be blamed on either ISIL or the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). The intention being to solidify support for Turkey's support for ISIL by showing that it to is a victim of terrorism so it has no option other then to attack it's neighbours.
The sub-text though is that Turkey intends to launch a wave of attacks against Russia in the style of the numerous Islamist bombings on the Moscow metro system between 2004 and 2012 or the bombings in Volgograd in 2013.
7K9268 is of course not the only passenger aircraft to have been brought down in mysterious circumstances recently.
In January 2014 there was the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. Occurring during the Winter Olympics this seemed like an attempt to spoil the party for the Russian host as punishment for its opposition to ISIL. It of course also touched on Rihanna's Diamonds World Tour which was intended to cause much disruption at the 2013 COP19 Summit.
Obviously it has been quite difficult for the international community to take action in that case because we've yet to find the aircraft let alone prove the cause of its downing.
The story couldn't be more different though with Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 which was brought down in Ukraine in July 2014. This was immediately used as an excuse to place sanctions on Russia to punish it for its opposition to ISIL. However now the investigation has proved that the downing was caused by the reckless operation of the aircraft the international community seems to have lost interest.
So today Indonesia has published its report into the crash of Air Asia flight QZ8501 which crashed due to bad weather on December 28th 2014 (28/13/14). However the report is now claiming that the weather wasn't a factor and the crash was caused by a combination of pilot error and a mechanical malfunction.
This seems to be making a mockery of those who are trying to block efforts to tackle climate change while posing the question of what malfunction was it that led to US President Obama not to take action over MH370 or MH17. It also references Germanwings flight 9525 which Obama crashed into the side of a French mountain murdering all of his passengers.
I must say though that the timing of the QZ8501 is hardly contributing to the smooth running of COP21.
However it seems appropriate for them. After all their annual festival of slash and burn farming is technically carbon neutral. Even if it really p*sses off all of their neighbours.
Today Kenya followed up the events at Strathmore University with the announcement that they are hunting a British terrorist - Malik Yassin - who they suspect of plotting Islamist attacks in the country.
Through the September 9th (9/9/15) fire aboard a British Airways jet at McCarren Airport in Las Vegas, US the UK has tried to claim that it is standing up for Commonwealth nations such as Kenya against Obama's reign of terror.
Kenya clearly doesn't believe them and this has made the UK angry.
So today we've had a big fire in Newcastle, UK at the junction between "Westgate" and "Cross" streets. The Garissa attack was of course proceeded by the attack on the Westgate Shopping Mall on September 21 2013 (21/9/13). Do I need to explain the significance of the term "Cross"?
Also while I was out at the supermarket the BBC News HQ in London, UK had to be evacuated due to a bomb scare. When I get back from the pub I'll be addressing the motion to be placed before the UK Parliament requesting authorising air-strikes in Syria.
This is likely to prove very confusing for people in the UK because the war that's going on in Syria and the war that BBC News has been reporting on are two completely different things.
Mind you it's still better then CNN who continue to report on a fictional terror group known as "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS)?!?"
17:50 on 1/12/15 (UK date).
