Operation Misery: Week 4, Day 6.

Yesterday (3/4/13) Rihanna and her tour caravan successfully crossed the border between Canada and the US and performed her Seattle concert. As we are now half-way through 'Hell Week' there are extensive pressures on Rihanna that should have spoilt her performance.

For example there is the ongoing Micheal Jackson wrongful death suit which is causing everybody in the California based entertainment industry a lot of headaches. However it should be especially stressful for Rihanna because the discussions about Micheal Jackson's paedophilic behaviour and the efforts that were taken to prevent him doing further harm are direct references to Chris Brown and his relationship with Rihanna. The discussions about Micheal Jackson's relationship with the tour promoter AEG are direct references to Rihanna's relationship with her tour promoter Live Nation and the damage that this current tour is doing to her and her reputation. Then there are the rising tensions surrounding the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK) which Rihanna's CIA handlers are keen for her to play a central role in.

Also the Seattle concert was always intended to be a reference to the Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain who shares Rihanna's February 20th birthday. Cobain of course committed suicide at the age of 27 making him a member of the infamous 27 Club. Many people have expressed serious concern that if Rihanna continues with Chris Brown she won't live beyond the next three years and will herself become a 27 Club member.

If all this wasn't enough to put Rihanna off her game the US decided to put on some extra pressure through the shooting of West Virginia Sheriff Walter E "Eugene" Crum. Tennis Melvin Maynard, a man who is said to suffer from undisclosed mental health issues was rapidly shot whilst being arrested and is recovering in hospital.

As West Virginia is Chris Brown's home state where he stands accused of multiple counts of fraud, perverting the course of justice and bribing public officials in order to avoid performing the community service he was sentenced to in response to his 2009 assault on Rihanna this could be interpreted in one of two ways. It could be the US saying that I've shot and killed the W.Virginia law enforcement officials who assisted Brown in his fraud. Alternatively it could be the US saying that the W.Virginia law enforcement officials who assisted Brown in his fraud deserve to be shot.

However I should point out that there is no suggestion that the Mingo County Sheriff was in anyway involved in the Chris Brown case. Crum was appointed in January 2013 and is said to have made targeting drug dealers his top priority which could be a reference to Rihanna's drug use. There are also obvious connections with the killings of the Texas prosecutors and the head of the Colorado prison service. Then there are just some confusing and annoying details. For example the E in Walter E Crum's name does not stand for "Eugene" and frankly who names a child "Tennis"?!

The the US decided to cause panic by instituting a full lock-down at the Fort Knox US Army base in Kentucky following a shooting incident. It has since emerged that the shooting in question was the shooting of a civilian worker in the parking lot of the Human Resources Command. Police are currently searching for a black man around 5 ft 9 inches in height with a US accent in connection with what they are describing as a targeted shooting with a personal motive. With no further information about the suspect or the victim it is easy to read between the lines and assume this to be a domestic violence incident which of course has huge resonance in Rihanna and Chris Brown's relationship. Of course the Fort Knox US Army base is not to be mistaken for the Fort Knox US gold bullion depository that is also located in Kentucky. Fort Knox of course could also be a reference to current Seattle resident Amanda Knox.

Mainly though the Fort Knox shooting was intended to cause panic and confusion while promoting lots of discussion about containment procedures in order to set the tone for a meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) that was taking place in the run up to and during Rihanna's concert. The purpose of that meeting was to check on the progress in Mali following the passing of a Chapter 7 resolution (2085/2012) in order to tackle the Islamist terrorists operating in northern Mali.

The meeting centred around the presentation of report S/2013/189. Although the Chapter 7 resolution authorises the UN (or its members) to use military force in Mali this latest report was all about the need to build linkages between the military, government and civil society groups. This is UN jargon for what is known as community building. Therefore the report was suggesting that the UN attempts to tackle the threat posed by the Islamists in Mali through a program of community containment. As the US' current position seems to be that Chris Brown will continue to be protected by the Courts system and instead the threat he presents to Rihanna will be managed through community containment this was a clear reference to his case although if the relationship between Rihanna and Chris Brown continues than attempts at community containment have clearly already failed.

The UNSC meeting broke up with no resolution being tabled, no vote taking place and no further action being taken. This is the UNSC once again firmly informing the US that the operation in Mali cannot begin until the Chris Brown operation is terminated.

At around the time of the concert chubby, Jewish stoner Seth Rogen asked Rihanna on Twitter what she thought of a new band called "Haim." Rogen of course recently worked with Rihanna on the soon to be released film "This is the End." Appearing to be at a bit of a loss Rihanna then asked her Twitter followers what they thought of Haim. I don't know what Rihanna's other 29,074,262 followers reply was but I do know mine;

While not totally talentless Haim have got to be the most hyped band of 2012/13. They have already won a string of best newcomer awards internationally despite having not yet released an album which is the traditional way for a band to announce themselves as a newcomer. The band's made up of three sisters supported by a drummer. The sisters already have long careers in the music industry dating back to 2005 when the youngest sister - Alana - was just 13 so it should be no surprise they come from a kind of weird and frankly a bit cult-like family. The band's name is the family surname. To untrained ears the name "Haim" could be mistaken for the English spelling of the Hebrew word "Chayyim" meaning life. This creates speculation about whether the girls are Jewish or not?

In itself this is not an easy question to answer because the girls father Mordechai Haim is an Israeli Jew. However their mother does not appear to be Jewish. As the racial aspect of Judaism is considered to be passed through the maternal bloodline this would lead many ultra-Orthodox Jews to say that the Haim girls are not Jewish. However more secular Jews - like say Seth Rogen - would probably class them as Jewish and anti-Semites certainly would.

And in that you have the simple reason for all the hype surrounding Haim. They're a US government backed effort to promote discussion about attitudes towards Judaism and quasi-religious cults like the Scientologists particularly within the California based entertainment industry.

Recently Haim have been circling around Rihanna by claiming to be close friends with her support act A$AP Rocky so they will no doubt be trying to get themselves guest-listed for Rihanna's LA concert and after parties. Along with recent speculation about Rihanna's tour being extended to include concerts in Israel in October Haim's sudden keenness is intended to promote discussion about the difference in the US' approach to Rihanna and Israel's. Basically this is a discussion about whether Rihanna should be allowed to achieve her full potential (the Israeli position) or whether Rihanna should be contained through a sort of forced marriage to Chris Brown (the US position.)

And no I'm not going to expand further on my Twitter response to Rogen other than to say; "Yes that t-shirt is older then Rihanna's career."

With all this swirling around her you would have expected Rihanna to crumple under the pressure and for her Seattle concert to be a disaster. You couldn't have been more wrong because to be frank she smashed it. Rihanna arrived on stage roughly on time at around 22:20 and worked her way through her usual set-list (acts 2&3 were flipped) with strong vocals, tonnes of energy and lots of confidence. I should point out that a set-list did appear online almost as the concert finished however this was incorrect. Therefore it highlights the importance of official information from recognised sources.

The one sour note though was that the Seattle concert did see the re-appearance of the engagement ring given to Rihanna by Chris Brown. Therefore her excitement about getting to see Brown again could be one explanation for Rihanna's improved performance. So while I hate to say it I'm still holding out a faint hope that Rihanna's San Jose (6/4/13) concert is a disaster as she plunges into a deep but short-lived depression in response to strict bail conditions being imposed on Chris Brown by the Court on Friday (5/4/13).

21:40 on 4/4/13.
