Went it to work as per usual only to be told that we were closing early and heading off to the grand opening of the fairfield club, the day care centre Mind runs to provide a safe place to go for all those patients who've been rushed out of hospital too early because of the immense pressure on psychiatric beds. So I've just spent the afternoon mingling with celebrities such as Ronnie Corbett and, and, and alright then just Ronnie Corbett but still it wasn't quite the day I had planned when I woke up this morning. I do have to say though that Ronnie Corbett handled the event like a true professional and appeared for free.
Needless to say the shit's still on the floor because obviously the state is very concerned about showing us all how it really operates. I have to admit though I'm not that bothered because if Mind wants to take itself from a winning position to a losing position and pay 20 grand for the privilege it's no skin off my nose I'll just keep my head down and curse the opportunities lost to the higher power.
It does sadly mean though I am going to have to answer the question I posed yesterday which was; "Did the British Intelligence service have advance knowledge of the 2006 Lebanon war and in the unlikely event that they did what was their policy?"
The answer to the first part of that question is no obviously not. The British doesn't do any of it's own intel work in the "greater Israel" it just relies on Mossad and obviously being an espionage service Mossad will never lie deceive nor manipulate so the first the Brits heard about it was when the Israeli shells landed on the Palestian beaches there was then another major intelligence failure where they failed to identify the potential for a wider conflict so no they didn't have a policy and just relied on the default "Do whatever Israel wants no matter how many trains need to be delayed, windows broken, policemen injured or citzens jailed."
So on to today's question; "Did I use Pushing Tin as a metaphor because it was the last film I saw or because it contains a pertinent moral that's explained very, very s l o w l y for the stupid and busy?

Today has been shopping day
Now I know you're all going to scoff and laugh and say "But shopping can't take up a whole day. Five minutes to write a list, a 5 minute drive to the supermarket, twenty minutes putting stuff in the basket, five minutes at the checkout then a 5 minute drive home. So an hour tops surely"
But no in my world it not only takes a full day it also requires two to three days of pre-shopping negotiation because my dad needs to be carefully prepared to unplug himself from his nasty virus spreading website; http://www.charnel-house.co.uk/ then the shopping itself takes a long time for various independent living details.
Today things actually went quite well because those items that my dad carefully records on his loyalty card were actually in store today and my sister had changed her mind about coming for the day. Also the news items have suddenly softened up with lots of positive spin so clearly the state is going to look after me from now on and not simply take what it needs and then stab me in the back the same way it's been doing to my family for forty odd years.
The reason that I'm still suffering from what a psychologist has called "trust issues" is that nothing tangible has changed. For example I have yet to be granted a full immunity from prosecution. I know it's a big ask but so is being asked to preform an act of text-book treason in the full glare of the media spotlight under your own identity. Besides you can always call it a Pilate's class because it will certainly improve your core stability when people ask you why I'm not in jail.
Nor have my travel privileges been re-introduced. I understand that Bristol was neither of us's direct choice but one of us certainly spent a lot of time, effort and public money attempting to gentrify that rain infested slave yard. Besides it was part of a deal you did with my dad in return for his services.
I am still having trouble making phone contact so how am I meant to believe people are serious about letting me dig them out of the shit when they're stealing my spade?
The smoking ban is still in force. I understand that Mr Cameron was given the opportunity to demonstrate to Mr Brown why a law that obligates you to report others criminal activity is a bad idea but the fact that such a law was even presented to the commons let alone passed into law and allowed to fester for five months proves that somebody in the civil service is failing to do their duty.
The minister for women's problems and liberal hand wringing is still in her job. I know you made an effort but there are ways and means to do these things in a a parliamentary democracy so it's not my fault we asked for glory and you voted Tory.
Finally no "assets" have been put beyond use so rather then answering yesterdays question I'm forced to ask another namely; "Did the British Intelligence service have advance knowledge of the 2006 Lebanon war and in the unlikely event that they did what was their policy?"

Today's been a bit of a wasted day really
I haven't been to work at the project today because frankly there's limited spaces and many, many people that need it's help. If life had been running to plan I would be working on the second part of that training course that the state has been opposed to me taking from the start. If I'd had the space to really work on it I may have been even putting those skills in to practice in a voluntary position but no the state has decided I'm not allowed to work so I've basically been sitting on my arse watching daytime TV. I did have a driving lesson but there's nothing really to report there, I just pootled around for an hour without making any mistakes.
While sitting around watching TV I did become fascinated by two news stories, the Governments "Funding Scandal" and the Annapolis "Peace Conference"
I wasn't interested in the "Funding Scandal" because of the supposed lack of integrity by the Labour party because there's nothing they've been doing that the Tories haven't been doing for decades. I was interested in it though because the donor at the centre of the scandal bears more then a passing resemblance to a guy who's just given my mate a job. Now without going into too much detail my mates had few troubles in his life with ADHD, drugs, crime and a father who was always away doing his duty in the navy but too his credit my mates been working on them and is now at the point where he's ready to get an honest job. All the state could offer him was 10 grand a year for 10 hours a day six days a week sitting in a van with some random stranger.
Then this diamond geezer of a guy stepped up and offered my mate a fair wage to act as a sort of fixer for his company. The pays better, the hours are better and it gives my mate the opportunity to learn how to do business. Obviously this unacceptable use of initiative and talent could not go unpunished so my mates girlfriend (she's the spitting image of Lynn off I'm a celeb) instantly lost her job leaving my mate to feed a family of three on a training wage. Also this "funding scandal" is going to create a bit of gossip and stress my mate new boss out a bit.
The Annapolis peace conference caught my eye because with a Scottish accent it sounds like a bit of a fucking clue. It's also caught my eye because it's yet another Arab-Israeli peace conference 7 years on from the last Arab-Israeli peace summit at Camp David in 2000 which was an Arab-Israel peace conference 7 years on the Arab-Israeli peace conference in Oslo in 1993. So the question of the day is; "Why is it the Israeli's are so keen to hold peace talks every 7 years?" Obviously I hould answer that question but why should I do the dog work? I thought the state had it all under control.

So here we are in blogland once again.
If anyone has bothered to read my previous posts you will all understand that I'm a little unfamiliar with this new fangled blogging thing.
Some people have told me that you should definately be on it and others have told me to steer well clear because it's nothing more then a way for Google to read your deepest, darkest thoughts and use them to find new ways to sell you crap but no-one has told me what you're meant to write so i guess I'll just tell you about my day;
I'm twenty something years old and today I went to work at the Enterprise Shop, which is a community mental health project run by the charity Mind. The project is designed to rehabilitate people on long term sickness benefits and get them back into the world of paid employment. Despite the fact that this objective is one of the stated aims of the British government, the British government seems to hate us because the Primary Care Trust has decided that it no longer wants to pay for the service because it doesn't meet their service model.
Obviously the other 5 services which Mind provides but the Primary Care Trust but don't pay for are perfectly fine (This includes a counselling service that the PCT are legally obligated to provide.) Obviously this led to a bit of a local campaign that culuminated in a meeting with the PCT where Mind said;
"So what service model do you want us to provide?"
To which the PCT replied;
"We don't know. We kind of hoped you would tell us, even though all we can offer you is coercion and violence."
Into this horrible and messy situation walked a hero. A hero in the human form of Sadie, our new project worker. Sadie is brilliant because she went to the Grande Parade Campus of Brighton university (Just like me), she's a lesbian (Just like me) and she used to work doing live in care work (Just like me) so obviously I've instantly fallen in love with her and want to share all my secrets with her. Problem is she's useless. Ignoring the fact she hasn't got the faintest clue of how to do her job she's also picked up this very nasty habit of telling the customers that the decison to remove funding from the project was made by Mind's management rather then the Primary Care Trust.

Another grisly murder in Thornton Heath
From the town that brought you "Woman beats three of her own children to death" we now have "Transexual strangled in wierd sex game"
It's not really been on the news much because it's been investigated by officers from the Homocide and Serious Crime Command so the details are being kept hush but we do know it was it was a man who'd been living as a woman and regularly used to visit Brixton. Obviously it's been a bit of a fun day on the heath what with 40-50 big boy cops knocking and botht he Met's helicopter and Kents helicopter buzzing around.

Now here's an interesting text message
Quote:
Hey r u okay do u want to come down sometime i will pay
It's interesting because it's from my sister Lucy who is currently residing in a psychiatric hospital near Guilford. Why she's there is anybody's guess because she's been diagnosed with Anorexia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Bulimia and various personality disorders but one things for sure, she's fucking nuts, and if you were signing her off you would write "Non-specific anxiety disorder" but my sister would never need signing off because my god does she love to work. She was first diagnosed at 13 and from there went on to achieve 9 A* and 1 A at GCSE. She then went on to medical school which obviously ended up in another admission. There was some more study and a few more admissions before it was decided that she would go out to work so she went to get a job with Starbucks who worked her hard and kicked her into hospital a few more times but on the plus side she's worked so hard that the state has no responsability to house her.Now I'm sitting here with text messages landing on my head and being forced to make a decision. I could fly back in and order the troops to find a meaningful solution but last time I did that was in the heat of the Lebanon war where we were dealing with power outages, train cancellations and MI5 Suvellience teams so I played my strongest game and was told "sit down, shut up the state will sort it out".18 months on the state has decided that it can't sort that one out so I'll have to do it but they won't pay me because £300 is far, far too expensive.

Lesbian Parenting
Quote:
Church condemns lesbian IVF use The leader of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales has condemned plans to make it easier for lesbian couples to use IVF to become parents. In a Times letter, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor said the plans were "profoundly wrong" and undermined "the place of the father in a child's life". But campaign group Stonewall said the move was a "logical and timely step". The measures are contained in the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill, being debated in the Lords later. The Bill includes recognition of same-sex couples as legal parents and would remove the current requirement on IVF clinics to be sure that a father is involved in the upbringing of any child created after he donates sperm. MPs have previously called for an end to the right of fertility clinics to refuse treatment to single women and lesbians. This radically undermines the place of the father in a child's life Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor Cardinal Murphy-O'Connor wrote: "The bill proposes to remove the need for IVF providers to take into account the child's need for a father when considering an IVF application and to confer legal parenthood on people who have no biological relationship to a child born as a result of IVF. "This radically undermines the place of the father in a child's life, and makes the natural rights of the child subordinate to the desires of the couple. It is profoundly wrong." 'Logical step' But Ruth Hunt, of gay rights campaign group Stonewall, said the plans did not involve "denigrating the principle of fatherhood". "This is a very logical and timely step to ensure that a child can have two parents from the moment of conception and that is safeguarded throughout their upbringing," she said. Cardinal Murphy-O'Connor has called on the government to allow Labour members in both houses to have a free vote on the issue - as opposition members already do. Family campaigners are also stepping up their opposition to the Bill, with former Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith warning it would be a "nail in the coffin" of the traditional family and "another blow" against fatherhood. Hybrid embryos Stonewall dismissed his concerns, saying that, at a time when three million children were growing up in single parent households in the UK, it would give more children the chance of a two-parent home. The Bill would also open the door to experiments involving human-animal hybrid embryos, including "cytoplasmic" embryos, which are 99.9% human, and "true hybrids", carrying both human and animal genes. In addition, "chimeras" made of a mosaic-like mix of cells from different species, and "human transgenic embryos" - human embryos modified with animal DNA - will be allowed under licence. It also includes a ban on sex-selection for non-medical reasons. Both pro-choice and anti-abortion campaigners are likely to use the Bill to try to change the law on abortions. Story from BBC NEWS:news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-...101153.stmPublished: 2007/11/19 11:43:15 GMT© BBC MMVII
Now this bill has just faced it's first reading in the House of Lords meaning that it has already passed through the House of Commons (The place where voters get their say) without one peep of dissent from the bovine masses that make up the Labour benches. Obviously to get this far the bill contains some very vaugue and complicated language but the phrase;"The Bill includes recognition of same-sex couples as legal parents and would remove the current requirement on IVF clinics to be sure that a father is involved in the upbringing of any child created after he donates sperm.Means that any child born to a lesbian couple has no right to ask for any information about their father until the turn 18 years of age.Obviously the details are far beneath my pay scale but as the child of a lesbian mother I have to say that this bill is totally and utterly indefensible because I have met many lesbian couples who have raised children with great success but in every single case the father has played some role in that childs growth even if it is just a name and a face.I have also met many of the lesbians who are now of the age where they will be taking advantage of this bill (if you want a case study it's been fucking in the cavaly stables) and I have to say their obsession with control and their inability to sacrifice even the smallest part of themselves for their children means that they are in no way ready to be parents
