Athletes Parade.
Through the newly opened Gate of China. Down the ramp and onto the arena floor. Entered the athletes.
In many ways this piece of International Olympic Committee (IOC) Protocol, the Athletes Parade. Is the most important part of the entire Opening Ceremony.
It gives the athletes their moment in the spotlight. Their chance to shine.
Not every heat of every event will be televised globally.
Even some events don't even show all the competitors when they are broadcast. In Skiing events you can have several competitors at different points on the mountain at the same time.
However the Opening Ceremony is televised live. Allowing all competitors to be seen celebrating. How much they've achieved simply by being there.
Unfortunately the Athletes Parade is just a long line of highly skilled athletes. All walking in a straight-line, without falling over.
Creating this rather perverse situation. Where, short of naming each athlete. The most important part of the Opening Ceremony is also the part where there isn't much for people like me to write about.
On this occasion though. The Chinese hosts gave us something to discuss.
The Athletes Parade was accompanied by recordings of 18 pieces of European classical music. Which were played on a loop.
Through the choice of some of the pieces of music. Along with the team it accompanied. It seemed as though China was trying to send a message.
The overriding message being;
"We've taken the time to learn about European classical music. Shouldn't Europeans take the time to learn about Chinese classical music?"
The first piece of music was the William Tell Overture. By Italian composer Gioachini Rossini. From the opera; "William Tell."
The William Tell Overture is supposed to represent life in the Swiss Alps. A region synonymous with winter sports. So there is the breaking of dawn, a storm then the calm after the storm.
The part of the William Tell Overture that everybody recognises is the; "Finale: March of the Swiss Soldiers." It represents Swiss soldiers on horseback riding furiously to liberate their homeland from Austrian invaders.
It is a very frantic and energetic piece.
Which is why it was used as the theme music for the US Radio/TV Show; "The Lone Ranger." About a cowboy battling outlaws. Accompanied by his trusty horse; "Silver" and his Native American guide; "Tonto."
Here it seemed to be used to give the athletes the message to hurry up.
While promoting discussion about people like me. Who having recorded the Opening Ceremony, sometimes, fast-forward through the Athletes Parade.
In part to save time. But also because any procession of people walking in a straight line instantly becomes so much funnier. When it is sped up to double speed.
This is something that was well understood by the British comedian Benny Hill. Every one of his TV shows would end with women stripping down to their underwear. Then chasing him at double speed.
At the 2020 Summer games Japan invited nations to break with tradition. Replacing the usual one flag-bearer. With a gender-balanced pairing of flag-bearers. One male, one female.
In effort to promote gender-equality and rights for women. Particularly within Japanese society.
This presented a problem for nations which are far behind even Japan on gender-equality and rights for women. Nations which don't really allow women to do sport. So didn't have any female athletes to act as flag-bearers.
This was particularly true for Middle-Eastern Muslim nations. Entering the arena first the United Arab Emirates (UAE), once again, took the hit for the entire team.
Rather than having two flag-bearers. The UAE gave each athlete two flags.
Which did sound like a sketch from those other famous British comedians; The Two Ronnies.
China also asked that nations provide a gender-balanced pairing of flag-bearers.
Which alongside the reference to Benny Hill furthered the discussion about gender-equality and rights for women. Particularly in Chinese society.
While The Benny Hill Show was certainly not the worst thing happening in British TV in the 1970's. His signature closing scene was hardly respectful of women.
The women's only purpose was to look attractive for men. Then strip down to their underwear and act out a male sexual fantasy.
An attitude very in keeping with Confucian values; The Three Feminine Obediences and Four Feminine Virtues.
Attitudes with continue to dominate in Chinese society. To the detriment of Peng Shuai and many, many other Chinese women.
An embarrassment to China itself.
Despite being a comedian Benny Hill was actually a very lonely and miserable man. After proposing to and being rejected by two women he never married and had no children. Dying alone in 1992.
Benny Hill's death was caused by his morbid obesity. Which in turn was caused by his gluttony.
The story had it that each Christmas Day he would sit alone in his home and eat an entire Christmas Dinner. A feast to normally feed a dozen.
Which allows for discussion about China's "Clean Plate" campaign. Launched in 2013.
As was discussed during the Opening Video Countdown. Food is really China's main cultural export.
Particularly where it has been exported to the West. Chinese food is considered an occasional treat. A sort of massive feast that people will have as a celebration.
It is a longstanding joke. Of US Jews all going to Chinese restaurants on Christmas Day. To celebrate with a big meal. Amongst people who also won't bring up any of the Christianity business.
As China has become more economically developed. Following US President Nixon's 1972 visit to Beijing. This western interpretation of Chinese food has increasingly been exported back to China.
Taking people to a restaurant for a massive feast has become a way to flaunt your wealth and status. By ordering and paying for more food than any of your guests could possibly eat.
This has collided with an Asian food tradition. That you always leave some food on your plate at the end of a meal.
If you don't. Then the assumption is that you are still hungry. So your host will just keep giving you food as not to offend you.
Along with the import of western fast-food. Such as McDonalds, KFC etc. This is seeing a nation once plagued by famine now facing a looming obesity crisis.
Then there is the issue of how, particularly public employees, have been able to obtain the wealth they are flaunting. Through things like bribe-taking, embezzlement and tax evasion.
So the "Clean Plate" campaign was launched really to break the Asian tradition that you must leave food on your plate.
To tackle primarily gluttony and obesity. Along with the corruption associated with conspicuous displays of wealth.
Or, if you're a NATO analyst. It began in 2019 in response to the Pandemic. As China is absolutely, totally on the brink of an immediate famine(!)
One of the key features of US President Nixon's 1972 visit to China. Was that it saw the US recognise China as China for the first time.
Following the Chinese Civil War (1927-1949). The US never recognised the victory of the Chinese Communist Party and the creation of the People's Republic of China.
Instead continuing to recognise only the exiled Kuomintang (KMT) in Taiwan. Clinging to the hope that the China could have another Civil War. Which would see the KMT reclaim all of China.
Although the US now recognises China. Along with Taiwan being part of China. Under the One Country, Two Systems policy. Taiwan still considers itself to be an independent nation.
In this instance the IOC recognises the; "Right of Self-Determination." As defined under the 1933 Montevideo Convention, as adopted as part of the UN Charter.
They have long allowed Taiwan to compete separately from China. Under the compromise that they do so as; "Chinese Taipei." Taipei being the main city in the group of several islands that make up Taiwan.
As was touched upon during the previous "Olympic Rings" section. China has a similarly difficult relationship with Hong Kong.
Hong Kong island was seized by Britain during the First Opium War (1839-1842). Following the Second Opium War (1856-1860) Britain also seized the Kowloon Peninsula.
The Kowloon Peninsula is technically part of the Chinese mainland. Reaching out to Hong Kong island.
In 1898 Britain, really, forced China to lease it Hong Kong island and the Kowloon Peninsula. Along with a large section of territory north of the Kowloon Peninsula, known as the New Territories. For a period of 99 years.
When that lease expired in 1997 China chose not to renew it. So the area collectively known as; "Hong Kong" was returned to China. Again under the One Country, Two Systems policy.
I don't know under what authority. Probably that this is just a sporting competition. However the IOC also allows Hong Kong to compete separately from China.
Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong entered the arena one after the other. Both to the strains of; "The Triumph March" from Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi's opera; "Aida."
Aida tells the story of the titular Ethiopian Princess who is, mistakenly, captured as a slave. By the Egyptian Empire. This prompts Ethiopia to go to war with Egypt. In order to rescue Aida.
The Triumph March is used during the Egyptian commander Radames' return to the city of Thebes. After repelling the Ethiopian invasion.
However Rademes falls in love with Aida. Learning her true identity he allows her to return to her homeland.
As we learned during the Opening Ceremony of the 2020 Summer Olympics. Ethiopia is the only African country to never have been colonised by Europeans.
Discussion of Aida also always involves the issues of Cultural Appropriation and Racially Sensitive Casting. Strictly speaking all the characters in this European opera should be played by Black and Brown people.
Not that anything about the opera is particularly culturally sensitive.

Similar accusations of cultural insensitivity have also plagued; "The Nutcracker." The ballet by Russian composer Pitor Illych Tchaikovsky.
The way that Arab People, representing Coffee, are portrayed during the "Arab Dance."
The controversy over how Chinese people, representing Tea, are portrayed during the; "Chinese Dance." Seems particularly relevant here.
The Nutcracker was represented by the; "Reed Dance." As in the 10 Heavenly Stems of the Traditional Chinese Calendar.
Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Little Swans" from the ballet; "Swan Lake" was also featured.
The work of Tchaikovsky, particularly Swan Lake, featured heavily at the 2014 Winter Olympics and Para-Olympics. Held in Sochi in Tchaikovsky's native Russia.
The legacy everyone was hoping to achieve from the 2014 Winter games. Was to combat homophobia and improve rights for gay people within Russia. That is why it was held in Sochi, Russia's gay capital.
Part of Russia's hosting of the games. Was the passing of the 2013 "Federal Law for the Purpose of Protecting Children from Information Advocating for a Denial of Traditional Family Values." The; "Gay Propaganda Law" for short.
Tchaikovsky was gay. It is widely considered that Swan Lake, with its battle between the good White Swan and the evil Black Swan. Is a metaphor for his battle with his own homosexuality.
It highlights the absurdity of the Gay Propaganda Law.
That it would make it impossible to teach young dancers about, even prevent the performance of. What is considered one of Russia's great cultural treasures.
As the name suggests. The Dance of the Little Swans focuses on the young as they grow into adulthood.
Unfortunately, under primarily US leadership. The western gay community decided to abandon their Russian compatriots. Allowing the issue of gay-rights to be hijacked as part of a wider attack on Russia.
A wider attack which included the US' 2014 attack on Ukraine.
The Athletes Parade also featured the; "Overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila." From the opera; "Ruslan and Lyudmila" by Russian composer Mikhail Glinka.
Ruslan and Lyudmila is set in Kiev. When Kiev was the capital city of; "Kievan-Rus." An area which contains modern Ukraine, Belarus and much of western Russia.
It is the era of Kievan-Rus. Which fuels much of modern Ukrainian's extreme anti-Russian racism.
In the opera Ruslan and Lyudmila are celebrating their wedding day. When, suddenly Lyudmila disappears. Abducted by some strange, foreign, supernatural force.
This prompts Ruslan to set out to rescue her. Aided by two of Lyudmila's former boyfriends, Farlaf and Ratmir.
Eventually it emerges that it was Farlaf and Ratmir who plotted Lyudmila's kidnapping. So they could present themselves as heroes by rescuing her. In the hope that she would marry one of them rather than Ruslan.
A sort of False Flag attack.
All of which seems like a timely metaphor. For Ukraine's US/UK-led NATO suitors well known plans to attack Ukraine during these 2022 Winter games. Just as they attacked Ukraine during the 2014 Winter games.
Also included was; "The Turkish March" by German composer Ludwig Van Beethoven. Rather than being an opera this part of the soundtrack from the play; "The Ruins of Athens."
The Ruins of Athens is all about Europe struggling to defend itself. From a rampaging, ever expanding Turkish Ottoman Empire.
In allowing Chinese Taipei to compete separately from China. The IOC has decided to uphold the principle of Self-Determination. As defined under the 1933 Montevideo Convention, adopted in the UN Charter.
While at the same time deciding that it doesn't want to uphold that principle. By allowing Serbia's Kosovo Province to compete separately from Serbia. In clear violation of Article 11 of the Montevideo Convention, Article 2 of the UN Charter.
In 1997 the Albanian economy collapsed. Prompting millions of economic migrants to leave the country for neighbouring Serbia. In 1999 Serbia asked these millions of economic migrants to leave.
Under US/UK leadership NATO then declared war on Serbia. Without the support of the UN. Eventually splitting the Kosovo Province away from the rest of Serbia.
Since then, particularly the US/UK. Have been trying to convince everyone that Kosovo is an independent nation.
Without any success. Due to their actions being a flagrant breach of Article 2 of the UN Charter.
A flagrant breach of Article 2 of the UN Charter that the IOC has been only too happy to endorse.
Serbia's Kosovo Province arrived in the arena to the strains of; "Pomp and Circumstance March Number 1." By British composer Edward Elgar.
This very rousing, patriotic British song is more commonly known as; "Land of Hope and Glory."
Turkey also arrived to the strains of Land of Hope and Glory.
Something of a neat trick. Timing everything so the 18 tracks used would loop through to hit both Serbia's Kosovo Province and Turkey.
Land of Hope and Glory is a staple of Britain's BBC "Last Night of the Proms." Allowing for more discussion of the issues surrounding the 2020 Last Night of the Proms. Really the only cultural event of 2020.
Italy arrived to the first movement; "Spring." From the; "Four Seasons" by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi.
A gesture of the 2026 Winter games hosts. Being allowed to share in the 2022 host's celebration of Chinese New Year's Day.
The vast Chinese team arrived accompanied by "Ode to the Motherland (Gechang Zuguo)" by Chinese composer Wang Shen.
As with "My Motherland and I" this is song about how beautiful China is. Which its vast mountains, plains, Yellow and Yangtze Rivers. Particularly how beautiful it is with the five star flag of the Chinese Communist Party flying over it.
Deeply patriotic. Ode to the Motherland is really considered China's second, unofficial National Anthem.
All of this musical drama and theatre. Seemed to be an advert for the Figure-Skating events.
In Figure-Skating the competitor has to select a piece, or medley of pieces, of music. From all the music there has ever been from anywhere in the World. Throughout all of history.
Then use that piece of music to tell a story through an interpretive dance routine. An interpretive dance routine which must incorporate certain, athletically demanding, technical aspects.
In short it is a much more sophisticated version of the Eurovision Song Contest. On a truly global scale. Being done backwards. While balancing on razor blades.
The Mens Individual Free Skate Gold was one by the ethnically Chinese Nathan Chen. Representing Team USA.
Nathan Chen performed to a medley of two Elton John songs. "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and; "Rocket Man." Along with, I think, an original hip-hop style sequence.
He did this while wearing a Chinese-style red shirt. Emblazoned with cosmic images of stars and galaxies.
In a routine which included five; "Quadruple (Quad) Jumps." The most demanding of the technical aspects.
Nathan Chen's performance demonstrated the contrast. Between the; "Pivot Towards the Pacific" policy of the former US Biden regime. Compared to the much more effective policy of US President Trump's policy.
Including President Trump's "Little Rock Man" jibes against North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Which were very in keeping with the famously cheeky Korean sense of humour.
It also raised the spectre of the Biden regime attempting to relaunch its failed policy. A sort of; "Pivot Towards the Pacific II: Electric Boogaloo."
A sequel likely to be even worse than the 1984 Break-Dancing movie; "Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo."
All while mocking the US gay community for supporting the Biden regime in its shrill anti-Trump hysteria.
This is certainly not the sort of thing you get at the Summer games.
I think it's the division shown in every US High School TV show and movie. Between the athletic but stupid "Jocks" and the sensitive, artsy, intelligent; "Nerds."
The Summer games are very much the domain of the Jocks. Although many Olympians get into their sports at university the Summer games can be a little meat-headed and lacking in intellectual ability.
Through the Figure-Skating events the Winter games is also able to include the Nerds. Leading to it being more sophisticated and better balanced.
Break-Dancing or; "Breaking" will be making its debut as an Olympic sport at the 2024 Summer games. So it will be interesting to see whether it can have the same effect as Figure-Skating does on the Winter games.
It was the Figure-Skating events which gave us the huge story of these Winter Olympics.
The truly amazing performance of Russian Figure-Skater Kamila Valieva. Both during the Team Event and beyond.
In the Team Event Kamila Valieva performed to; "Bolero" by French Composer Maurice Ravel. Originally written for Russian-Jewish actress and dancer Ida Rubinstein.
Bolero is now synonymous with Olympic Figure Skating. Being used by Britain's Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean in their Gold Medal winning performance at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
Torvill and Dean's performance, which continues to be the highest scoring ever performance. Occurred on February 14th, St Valentine's Day. So on every February 14th the IOC remind us that it is, in fact; "Bolero Day."
The 1984 Winter games took place in Sarajevo in Yugoslavia. Part of the Cold War; "Soviet Bloc."
The nation of Yugoslavia no longer exists. Along with Srebrenica Sarajevo is now infamous for its role in how Yugoslavia came to no longer exist.
Between 1988 and 1992 Soviet Russia ceased to exist. The Russian Federation came into being on December 25th 1991 (25/12/1991).
Amid this; "Collapse of the Soviet Union." US/UK-led NATO encouraged the Soviet Bloc nations which had made up the Soviet Union. To exert their right of; Self-Determination. As defined under the 1933 Montevideo Convention, adopted in the UN Charter.
First to heed the NATO call was Czechoslovakia. Which entirely peacefully separated into the new nations of; "The Czech Republic" and; "Slovakia" in 1993. The famous; "Velvet Divorce."
Although I should point out. That even as part of the Soviet Union Czechoslovakia was always made up of; "The Czech Socialist Republic" and; "Slovak Socialist Republic." Under a Federal system.
Next to answer NATO's call for Self-Determination was the Croatia region of Yugoslavia. In 1991 Croatia and Yugoslavia seemed to be on the same path as Czechoslovakia. Towards a peaceful divorce.
However that outcome was not acceptable to US/UK-led NATO. As it would leave the large nation of Yugoslavia largely intact.
So particularly the US backed Croatian Ultranationalists, a polite way of saying; "Fascists." To overthrow the semi-government of Croatia that was negotiating with Yugoslavia.
NATO's actions first plunged Croatia into Civil War. Then into a wider war with Yugoslavia.
US/UK-led NATO then decided to expand that war. Backing various other Ultranationalist/Fascist groups, along with Bosniak Islamists to start a Civil War in Yugoslavia.
This Yugoslavian Civil War which is also known as; "The Balkan Wars" lasted from 1991 to 1995. With all sides committing appalling war crimes and Crimes Against Humanity. Most notably actual Genocide.
By the end of the Yugoslav Civil War. Where once had stood a large nation, capable of protecting the interests of its citizens from the interests of US/UK-led NATO.
There instead stood six tiny nations. All too small to protect the interests of their citizens from the interests of US/UK-led NATO.
Olympic and Para-Olympic Ceremonies always include lots of; "Fun With Flags." Many flag designs contain what is known as a; "Canton." A small rectangle, normally in the top-left corner.
This comes from the practice of
European Medieval Heraldry. Where people would carry shields painted to
display their identity and allegiance. Their; "Coat-of-Arms."
A Canton is used to denote that someone is not a full part of the family or clan. But has been forced to join the family or clan. Such as the relatives of a woman who has been sold into a clan through marriage.
From this a Canton is used to denote an administrative district of a country. One that is not fully part of the country but controlled by its central government. These days normally under a Federal system.
When European Colonialists first arrived in China they did so in Guangdong Province. Stealing it from China and declaring it to be their; "Canton."
That is why you have the term; "Cantonese." What I think most people internationally recognise as; "Chinese Food" is actually; "Cantonese Food." From Guangdong Province.
So it is all too easy to say. That motivated by US Imperialism.
Since the end of the Cold War NATO has been trying to divide Europe up into bite-sized little cantons.

Is most clearly demonstrated by Bosnia & Herzegovina. One of the six nations that were created where once Yugoslavia stood.
Bosnia & Herzegovina is actually two nations. The ethnically Serbian Republika Srpska. Along with ethnically Croatian and Bosniak Muslim Federation of Bosnia & Herzegovina.
That is actually the flag of Bosnia & Herzegovina. The two states divided/united by the Stars and Stripe(s) of the US.
The Federation of Bosnia & Herzegovina is itself not a single state. Instead a collection of ten semi-autonomous cantons.
In the run-up to the Winter games there had been growing tension within Bosnia & Herzegovina.
With Republika
Srpska wanting to exercise their right of Self-Determination. To
separate from the Federation of Bosnia & Herzegovina and rejoin
Serbia.
However US/UK-NATO will not allow them to. Such a Self-Determination is, apparently, not a permitted use of the right of Self-Determination.
In 1999 US/UK-led NATO decided that creating 6 tiny nations out of Yugoslavia wasn't bite-sized enough. So they set about creating a seventh.
Partnering with Islamist Mujahedeen fighters from Afghanistan. To steal Serbia's southern Kosovo Province. Then attempt to present it as an nation state.
Which is where I come in. With that nominally Muslim Delusional Schizophrenic launching a Samurai sword attack on my local Church.
In the UK's sole port-of-call for Asylum Seekers. At that time particularly people fleeing the former Yugoslavia.
Kamila Valieva's costume took as its centrepiece a lot of red fabric around her breasts/chest. Along with red gloves.
Blood red fabric. Menstrual blood.
In mockery of the US' big, bold move of 2021.
The belief that putting about the rumour that Miley Cyrus may be bisexual. Along with the fact that she menstruates.
Would so shock the World it would fall from its axis. Prostrating itself at the feet of its new Messiah, Joe Biden.
Not falling from one's axis. Is rather a fundamental skill for an Olympic Figure-Skater.

Miley Cyrus' menstruation was supposed to build into a discussion about Transgender athletes.
Which the slower nations, Canada and New Zealand along with the US. Still consider an ongoing topic within the Olympic/Para-Olympic movement.
It's long been known that female Alpine Skiers are more prone to Anterior-Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tears. A small 2013 Swiss study suggested that it could be due to their increased Oestrogen levels during menstruation.
However the general consensus is that it is due to physiological differences. To do with women generally being shorter, with smaller feet and a higher centre of gravity. On account of their breasts.
Footballers are also particularly prone to ACL tears. So at the 2020 Summer games Team USA's female footballers were using the; "Fitrwoman" App to keep track of their menstrual cycles and Oestrogen levels.
All amid the discussions around Laurel Hubbard. Whether his use of hormone blocking drugs significantly compensates from the clear physiological advantages he has. Being a man competing in female Weightlifting.
As was pointed out at the time. This is not an ongoing discussion within the Olympic/Para-Olympic movement.
This issue of physiological advantage has existed for as long as Gymnastics has been a Summer Olympic sport. Human bones don't reach their full density and therefore weight until a person is in their mid-twenties.
So Gymnasts are not allowed to compete in the Olympics until they are at least 16 years old. Younger than that and their much lighter bones would give them an unfair advantage.
The same is true of Figure-Skating at the Winter Olympics.
In the background to the 2022 Winter Olympics. There has been a debate within Figure-Skating's governing body, the International Skating Union (ISU).
Over whether to raise the minimum age for competitors from 15 years to 17 years. To eliminate the physiological advantage of lighter bones.
Kamila Valieva is currently 15 years old. There is a wide acceptance that part of her success is due to her light bones. Despite her menstruating and undergoing all the hormonal changes that involves.
A fascinating detail of Kamila Valieva's costume. Was a green snake which wrapped around her torso. Its head resting just across her left shoulder-blade.
As was discussed during the Closing Ceremony of the 2020 Summer Olympics. At the time of the 2021 US Super Bowl. I had a plan to entertain you all. With some absolutely outrageous Lockdown gossip.
Rihanna and I would be an interracial married couple. The supposedly bisexual Miley Cyrus would have to trying to win us both over, individually.
Obviously we would only be pretending. "Acting" if you like.
So that would have fed into the big #MeToo discussion of the 2021 Oscars. How to minimise the impact on the people who have to appear in such graphic sex scenes.
I wanted to coordinate or rehearse directly with both Rihanna and Miley Cyrus. Before putting on our big public performance.
In discussing the #MeToo issue at the 2021 Oscars. I pointed out that there are some actors and actresses who genuinely don't have a problem with nudity. Citing the British actress Juno Temple as a possible example.
Another example I could have cited is the US actress Emily Meade. Who is, I think, probably most well known for her role in the US TV show; "The Deuce."
Miley Cyrus' recent transition of punk-rock chick. Seems to have been inspired by the similar transition made by the Abigail "Abby" Parker character in the show.
I was given Season 1 of The Deuce for Christmas 2018. Shortly after Miley Cyrus' wedding. Another example of us seeming to clatter into each other over the years.
Set amongst the world of prostitution. Amid the birth of the US porn industry. The Deuce obviously features a lot of nude and sex scenes. I genuinely don't think I've seen Emily Meade in a role where she keeps her clothes on.
Recently I've discovered Emily Meade in one of her earliest roles. Having been streaming Season 1 of the US TV show; "The Leftovers."
In that show Emily Meade has a small tattoo just across her left shoulder-blade. Exactly the same place as the snake's head on Kamila Valieva's costume.
Although I have now confirmed that it is a tattoo. It is, initially, hard to work out that it is a tattoo. It could easily be mistaken for a shadow, a bruise or a stray strip of fabric.
It's one of those distracting little details that grabs your attention. Well, my attention at least. Once you notice it, then it's hard not to focus on it.
This, obviously, further mocks the US/UK's claim that Miley Cyrus and I couldn't speak to each other directly. Using electronic communication such as Social Media direct messaging or email. As that would be a secret.
When, in reality. If I stream a TV show. Then it means everyone is streaming that TV show. I'm surprised NBC's Peacock haven't started to demand that it's included in their ratings.
Kamila Valieva is coached by Eteri Tutberidze. Who bears something of a resemblance to Miley Cyrus' mother and manager Tish Cyrus.
As you would expect. From a woman who is an accomplished performer in her own right.
This was all done in mockery. Of the US' belief that we could all become obsessed with what has gone so wrong in Miley Cyrus' life and the team around her.
When, if you're involved in the Olympics. Particularly events such as Gymnastics or Figure-Skating. Just as if you're involved in the world of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Then nurturing, developing and, hopefully, protecting young performers. Is a very large part of your job. Something you do all-day, every-day.
So as has been previously discussed, by many. There is currently only one great wonder in Uncle Sam's fair land;
"Why are they still insisting on making such an embarrassing mess of it?!"
However the most talked about element of Kamila Valieva's performance. Is this strange claim that she failed a drug test, committing a doping violation.
I should start by pointing out. That both the IOC and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) own rules clearly state.
That in order to be considered valid. The results of a drug-test must be returned within 21 days of the test being taken.
Kamila Valieva's drug-test was taken on December 25th 2021 (21/12/21). The result was not returned until February 8th 2022 (8/2/22). Some 44 days later.
So there is absolutely no basis for anyone to claim that Kamila Valieva failed a drug-test.
That is why the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) overturned the IOC and WADA's attempts to ban Kamila Valieva. They had absolutely no basis to attempt to ban her.
Having whipped themselves up into an anti-Russian frenzy. The enthusiasm with which both the IOC and WADA ripped up their own rulebook.
That seems to have foreshadowed the enthusiasm with which the UN ripped up its own rulebook. In its haste to condemn Russia for the current US/UK-led NATO attack on Ukraine.
As you may have noticed from Serbia's Kosovo Province. It is a common problem.
In this instance the IOC and WADA really, really should have followed their own rules.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it. But for the past three years the World has been experiencing a Pandemic.
This
has fuelled a massive interest in laboratory testing. Lateral Flow
Tests versus Polymerase Chain-Reaction (PCR) testing. Genetic
sequencing etc.
The problems of obtaining the chemicals required for these tests. Particularly if you've annoyed South Korea or Japan.
The skills required by technicians to carry out these tests. The chances of them returning false positive or false negative results anyway.
Under IOC and WADA rules athletes submit two test samples. Sample A and Sample B. Specifically due to this well known problem of drug-tests producing false results.
The specific drug Kamila Valieva is said to have tested positive for. Despite there being no test result. Is; "Trimetazidine."
Trimetazidine is a cardiac drug used to treat a specific type of Angina. Angina Pectoris. It regulates blood flow within the heart. Preventing the ischemia which causes Angina attacks.
As such it is known as a; "Flow Regulator."
In the same way that the female contraceptive pill can be described as a; "Flow Regulator." Particularly when it is used to regulate a woman's menstrual cycle.
Which is very in keeping with the Miley Cyrus menstrual theme of Kamila Valieva's performance.
Trimetazidine is known by the acronym; "TMZ." I've long cited the US tabloid TMZ as an example of what I would use my skills as a military intelligence officer to keep Miley Cyrus' deepest, lightest secrets out of.
Trimetazidine is notorious for producing false-positives in drug-tests. It is very easily mistaken for another drug, which is not banned for use by athletes. Lomerizine.
Lomerizine is used to treat migraines.
Exactly like the sort of LSD induced migraine that inspired the Rolling
Stones song; "Paint It Black." Referenced alongside pollination in the
earlier; "Dandelion" section.
The very low level of Trimetazidine detected in Kamila Valieva's Sample A. Suggests that is exactly what has happened here.
As far as I can tell. Kamila Valieva's Sample B has still not been tested. It certainly wasn't tested before the IOC and WADA tried to have her banned. Another way in which they ripped up their own rulebook.
Something
Kamila Valieva herself seemed to acknowledge. During the Free-Stake
when she performed to a medley of piano concertos. Including Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Although written by Rimsky-Korsakov. It is Rachnmaninoff's piano arrangement of; "Flight of the Bumblebee" which is the most well known.
At around 18:40 on 10/3/22 (UK date) this will have to drag on into another day now.

Along with the fact that she has undergone many drug-tests in her career. Yet has never tested positive for Trimetazidine, or any other banned substance, before.
Something else which suggests this was simply a false-positive. Is that it is hard to see how Kamila Valieva could be using Trimetazidine to enhance her performance.
Although it regulate the flow of cardiac blood, rather than boosting it. Trimetazidine does have a slight role in increasing Cardiovascular stamina.
This is something that is useful in endurance events. Such as Biathlon or Cross-Country Skiing.
However Figure-Skating is not an endurance event. Meaning there would be no benefit to taking Trimetazidine.
Trimetazidine is also used to treat dizziness. So you could argue it would help combat something which is a common challenge for a Figure-Skater.
However Trimetazidine is used to treat dizziness caused by low blood pressure. The dizziness Figure-Skaters experience is caused by Spacial-Disorientation.
Basically they spin around so fast. That their brains can't keep up with the ever changing information from the senses that regulate Spatial Orientation, balance. Chiefly sight and the inner-ear.
So even that claim feels like a stretch. A stretch beyond the realms of credibility.
Even as a way to boost cardiovascular endurance. The effects of Trimetazidine are pretty negligible.
The drug was invented in the 1970's. It was only banned within sport in 2014. Prior to that WADA didn't think it was worth bothering with.
Trimetazidine had only been banned for a year. When, in 2015, WADA downgraded it from a; "Stimulant" to; "Metabolism Moderator." Reflecting how negligible its effects are.
Only two athletes have ever been caught using Trimetazidine. As there's generally seen as no point in doing it. If you're going to cheat then there are many other better drugs to choose from.
The first athlete to be caught using Trimetazidine was the Chinese Swimmer Sun Yang. Just four months after it had been banned, following a long campaign by the US.
The decision to downgrade Trimetazidine. That came just before the US Swimmer Madisyn Cox was caught using it.
Which all sounds very similar to the case of Russian Tennis player Maria Sharapova.
I hate to spoil the magic. However all athletes use whatever drugs they can to give themselves an advantage. Except for those that are explicitly on the banned list.
For the best part of a decade Maria Sharapova used a drug called Meldonium. 21 days before the 2016 Australian Open WADA suddenly banned Meldonium. Knowing that it takes 28 days to leave the human body.
Making it impossible for Maria Sharapova not to test positive at the Australian Open and get banned.
In the current climate I hesitate to use the term; "Assassination." However that was the planned and targeted elimination of an athlete. Simply because they were Russian.
The lab which is at the centre of the Kamila Valieva scandal is in Sweden. Which is hugely important.
After militarily seizing Serbia's Kosovo Province. NATO decided to enter into a direct proxy-war with Russia.
Again partnering with Islamist Mujahedeen fighters from Afghanistan. To fight Russia within Russia. In the Chechnya and Dagestan regions of the North Caucasus'.
NATO's main partners where the; "Chechen Republic of Ichkeria." Who now operate in Syria under the name; "Caucasus Emirate of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)."
Known as the; "Second Chechen War" this brutal conflict lasted from August 1999 to May 2000. It was then followed by an equally brutal Guerrilla Insurgency. Which lasted from June 2000 until April 2009.
Particularly the Guerrilla Insurgency involved attacks so horrible. That they are permanantly seared into the memories of anyone who even got to hear about them.
Attacks such as October 2002 siege at Moscow's Dubrovka Theatre. In which these NATO backed Islamist terrorists murdered 170 people.
Then, most horrifically of them all. The September 2004 siege at School No 1 in Beslan, North Ossetia. In which these NATO backed Islamist terrorists massacred 333 people. 186 of them children.
I particularly remember The Beslan School Massacre.
Knowing long in advance that it was going to happen. Britain decided that it was going to use those three days for my David Kelly style; "Assisted Suicide."
It was in surviving that. I messed up the sight in one of my eyes. Something referenced in the Opening Ceremony of the 2020 Summer Olympics.
The Kamaraku Gongoro Kagemasa character who appeared in the section I entitled; "Intermission!" The hero warrior who lost an eye in battle.
The Beslan School Massacre was also the inspiration between the Bolero Day attack on the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School. Which the US used to distract its population from the mockery it was receiving at the 2018 Winter games.
Or, more accurately. The Parkland, Florida attack was inspired by the; "In Loco Parentis" episode of the US TV show; "The Unit." Which, itself was inspired by the Beslan School Massacre.
We describe NATO's decade long war against Russia as a proxy-war. In doing so we are stretching the term; "Proxy-War" to, probably, beyond breaking point.
One of the combatant groups in the war was the; "Grey Wolves." The paramilitary wing of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP). A major political party in NATO member Turkey.
The MHP have now, more-or-less, been fully absorbed by the Justice & Development Party (AKP). Making them the party of government within NATO member Turkey.
The Turkish Grey Wolves are not to be mistaken with the Ukrainian Grey Wolves. The proudly Nazi Azov Battalion of the Ukrainian National Guard.
However the apparent, current overlapping interests of these two groups of Fascist Grey Wolves, That's the reason behind all those strange hand gestures at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
Something I could have spent 2021 discussing with Miley Cyrus. Directly.
Although not NATO members themselves. Sweden were absolutely instrumental in both NATO's war against Serbia and NATO's war against Russia.
Funnily enough. The country which gave you; "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo." Is not at all warm and cuddly.
In 1939 Sweden allied itself with Nazi Germany. Invading its neighbour Finland. After being swiftly defeated by Soviet Russia. Sweden then courageously took on a position of neutrality for the remainder of the Second World War.
It was Sweden that did most of NATO's propaganda and espionage work. During both the war against Serbia and Russia.
I think every one of Sweden's multiple anti-Russian networks have been promoted by the Human Rights House umbrella group.
However Sweden were particularly instrumental. In building human rights astroturf groups to support Islamists.
Such as those promoting the anti-Russian conspiracy theories about the Dubrovka Theatre siege and Beslan School massacre.
Tall tales of poison gas and anti-tank rockets. Everything and anything to distract from the fact.
That NATO was using Islamist terrorists to murder Russian civilians in their hundreds.
The Swedish Intelligence Services biggest anti-Russian network is the; "Union of the Committees of Soldier's Mothers of Russia."
Attempting to exploit the grief of the mothers of the soldiers NATO were killing in Chechnya and Dagestan. To sow civil unrest in Russia. With the ultimate goal of regime change.
As you may have noticed. NATO are very keen to reactivate this Soldier's Mother's network. As part of its current attack on Ukraine.
So one of several things may have happened. In Sweden's role in delaying Kamila Valieva's drug-test result. Rendering it invalid.
It is possible. That Sweden were once again partnering with NATO to ambush Russia at these games. Just as Maria Sharapova was ambushed in 2016.
However. Sweden took in a lot of Muslim refugees. From the Yugoslav Civil War, NATO's war against Serbia and NATO's war against Russia.
This is the reason behind Sweden's current, massive, social cohesion and violent crime problem. Where US criminals use guns. Swedish criminals used carbombs and hand-grenades.
So it is entirely possible. That Sweden was partnering with Russia. To aid in Kamila Valieva's performance. To deter NATO from further aggression against Russia.
Of course it is also possible. That is was simply a mistake. Due to the extra Pandemic workload on the lab.
As you may have noticed from Team GB's semi-final with Team Sweden. In the Womens Curling. Despite the decision by IOC and WADA to rip up their own rulebook.
There was still a lot of interest in having the topic discussed.
You can't help but wonder that if it were the second scenario. Then if NATO had realised that it was the second scenario.
Would that have deterred NATO any?
In launching its current attack on Ukraine.
Sadly it wasn't until two days after NATO launched its current attack on Ukraine, on February 19th (19/2/22).
That Team GB were served with the; "Boxer Protocol."
