The M4 Has Been Closed.

Today (7/7/12) in Britain's M4 motorway has been closed after engineers observed visible cracks in a bridge structure. It is expected to re-open on Thursday (12/7/12). This is important because the M4 is pretty much the only major road link between London's main Heathrow airport and London's Olympic park.

So I think it's fair to assume that after terrorism week Britain is beginning to speculate that the journey to the games might not be as smooth as they'd hoped. After all the cracks in the M4 bridge have been known about for so long even I'd heard about them and I don't drive let alone drive in north London.

Also today Britain made some vapid announcement about elderly care costs. That was just an effort to get my father fired up before his outing this evening. I don't know if it worked because last I heard he was planning on making his way home about now (20:00). However I'm pretty sure there's only one way my father's going to gain a new insight to the situation.
