Ice Road Truckers: A Road to Far.

My father and I have just finished watching the second episode of the Bolivia season of Ice Road Truckers on Channel5 and found it distinctly meh! Well I did he fell asleep a while ago.

Now (20:15 on 6/7/12) we're going to watch season 7 of "House MD" on DVD. According to the box an actress called "Amber Tamblyn" turns up in this season. Now I'm utterly convinced I've seen that name somewhere before but I can't remember where so I really want to look her up on the internet.

Similarly after talking to my mother yesterday (5/7/12) I've discovered that almost all the men on that side of the family suffered from gout at some point in their lives. I've also learnt that despite suffering from an unpleasant sounding name and negative connotations from the Victorian-era it's actually a form of arthritis. It seems to be caused by damaged bone reacting with fluid in the joint to form an acid. This has the same effect that pouring acid on your skin would have - inflammation and pain.
However at the moment it's still what people like my mother would call "non-specific pain."

So my interest has certainly been piqued even if my foot pain has been downgraded to a dull ache.
