I Don't Know Where to Start

With the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that is. It turns out on Thursday (5/7/12) Congolese troops launched a offensive to oust the March 23rd (M23/Rwandan) rebels from positions in and around the Virunga National Park. On Friday (6/7/12) the M23 rebels counter-attacked killing one Indian/UN peacekeeper as the seized a border crossing with Uganda. The Congolese troops appear to have been forced to retreat into Uganda.

This is interesting because most of the fighting in eastern-DRC is over smuggling routes into either Uganda or Rwanda. Along with Kenya and the UN Uganda is currently involved in international efforts to oust the shabaab from Somalia. Oh and the whole "East Africa Food Crisis" thing is still going on.

Anyway at around 23:00 I'm seriously considering going to bed. However due to his nap my father's going to be up for ages yet. He's got a meet up with his internet network friends tomorrow so the last thing we want is for him to get over-stimulated.
