At around 00:30 local (08:30GMT) today (20/7/12) one or possibly two gunmen attacked a midnight screening of "Batman the Dark Knight Rises" with tear gas, firearms and possibly homemade explosives. Latest reports are that 14 people have been killed and 50 people have been injured to varying degrees. Police say they have arrested 1 suspect armed with a shotgun and a handgun and are preparing to search his home which the suspect claims is boobytrapped.
Obviously this is still very much an active situation but I think we're looking at a Columbine style mass shooting rather then a terrorist attack.
