Earlier today (4/12/11) news agencies in Iran announced that they had shot down an Unmanned Ariel Vehicle (UAV) or drone over the east of the country. Later in the day this was confirmed when the International Assistance Security Force (ISAF) announced that they had indeed lost a UAV of western Afghanistan at some point last week. So what appears to have happened is that the US has sacrificed a UAV in order to strengthen Iranian hardliners in order to see more repeats of events like the attack on the UK Embassy compound.
Elsewhere the right wing Prime Minister of the Republic of Ireland has announced that he intends to use the spectre of the Eurozone crisis to drive through economic reforms in what is a clear sign of support for the British government. You could tell it was a scam when he alluded to the political wing of the IRA Sinn Fein (Ourselves Alone) in his address to the nation.
