Because I reckon that Britain's Channel 4 could afford the Daily Show if they cut their nightly news bulletin down from 60 minutes to 30 minutes. If that's still not enough they could leave an hour of dead air between 22:00 and 23:00 once a week rather then bringing back 10 o'Clock live. Of course it may take a little bit longer to work which element of the US state is pushing the price up in the first place because I'm going to need a little while to get my eye in with Bloomberg and CNBC.
Seriously it feels like I'm watching bootlegged south east asian porn. Which brings neatly on to the fact that on the very day that I got a Freesat system installed the horror channel which shares a lot of personnel with Channel 4 started showing Firefly from the very begining.
Anyway as we go into the final night of the Christmas lectures we still have no verdict in the Dodson/Norris trial.
