See Confession is Good for the Soul.

As the G20 Summit enters it's final hours Britain is becoming frantic and apparently very worried about protectionism. So I apologise if I'm the one putting the following matters on the agenda.

Today (4/11/11) a House of Lords standards committee has recommended that Lord Hanningfield - the disgraced former head of Essex County Council - be suspended for nine months. This is Britain trying to enquire how long Essex will have to stay out in the cold because of the Dale Farm eviction.

Also today a coroners inquest has ruled that a train crash that killed an 84 year old woman at Grayrigg in Cumbria in 2007 was caused by faulty points. This is Britain conceding that my father does not have lasting powers of attorney over my grandmother because the ruling by the Court of Protection was based on some demonstrably faulty points.

Meanwhile Greece is still awaiting the confidence vote on it's Prime Minister. However there seems to be a growing consensus within the country that even if the government does fall there will be no referendum on the October 27 agreement and there will be no new elections until that agreement is ratified.
