It's around midnight so shall we say yesterday (6/4/12) I've been bringing my other blog 100badones.blogspot.com online. It now has a background, a click counter and a search function. Most importantly though it now has some words in it. What I've been doing is transferring the sober posts from this blog over to that one. I've started with the Libya posts backdating the "Operation Oil Theft" heading to the day the operation went public (15/2/11). So far I've got up to mid-March 2011 so clearly this process is going to go on for a while. I may do some more later today (7/4/12) but now I've put up the cones, dug the hole and erected the candy stripe tent I may just not bother.
While you're trying to work out that very British reference to roadworks I might as well cover some of the events of the day. The Wellcome Trust are trying to put pressure on China over counterfeit drugs using a story about a drug-resistant strain of Malaria. The reference to a sort of parasite is of course quite amusing from an organisation that made it's billions by trademarking the term "tablet" and in doing so making access to genuine drugs in the developing world that little bit more expensive. Also a US Navy F-18 jet has crashed into an apartment block in the USA killing no-one. To me this sounds a bit like an incident on 23/3/11 when a USAF F-15 crashed in Libya while the Chinese warships Guangzhou and Chaohu were keeping watch from the Mediterranean.
