While I gather that you're not used to that many tornadoes that far south I think the best advice is stay in doors and try not to worry. After all there's bugger all you can do about it.
In slightly better news it's currently around 20:45BST on 3/4/12 and I got back from the pub at around 20:10. Apart from the rain I'm happy to report that Thornton Heath gets more like Brighton everyday and I mean that in the sense that I had an annoying old poof trying to chat me up for about 10 minutes. Then there was some black yelling about how you can buy an AK-47 for about $10 in Kenya. But I'm home now and I have beer.
