Ah Would You Look at That.

The Americans have just sent a large trade delegation to India and Britain have sent an even larger trade delegation to China and the Court of Protection has returned it's verdict.

It's decided to throw out my application. This verdict was returned as part of a lengthy judgement still have to read however I suspect and hope that it contains vast grounds to appeal. After all by now even the Brits should have worked out that this wasn't being done for my benefit.

Edited to Add@ 17:12: I'm not going to go into detail about the COP judgement because of trade matters. However the final paragraph of the judgement reads:

"For the purposes of the law relating to contempt of Court, information relating to proceedings held in private may be published where the Court makes an order under rule 91(2) of the Court of Protection rules 2007. I have made no such order in this case, and accordingly no information relating to these proceedings may be published."

So that's a clear attempt to suppress then.
