WTF Is He Doing Now!

In case he hasn't told you my father's got an iPhone. And after going to the shop twice he's finally got an iPhone that works. Now he is pulling the kitchen sink to peices. I think he's trying to replace a washer but frankly the vibrations in the pipes are so bad I'm worried he may actually end up knocking the whole house down.

So I think I'm going to be sitting out in the garden until further, erm notice.

Turkey's Moved to a War Footing.

Overnight Turkey has continued to shell positions within Syria and in the last two hours the Turkish military has been authorised to undertake hostile action outside of it borders. So in all seriousness Turkey and Syria could be in a full scale shooting war by the end of the day.

Of course Turkey's decision to allow it's territory to be used as a base for the Saudi and Qatari Irregular Army (SQIA) to mount attacks against Syria means that Turkey is undoubtedly the aggressor in this situation so article 5 of NATO's Washington Treaty covering mutual defence does not apply. However in light of such naked aggression there may well need to be a very serious discussion about whether Turkey can continue as a member of NATO.

No wonder the US President was looking a bit distracted during last night's debate.

Theres a Surprise.

The first debate of the 2012 US Presidential election has just finished and I'm going to have to score it as a narrow victory for Romney who is generally the weaker of the two candidates when it comes to public speaking. Obama should have been able to absolutely thump his opponent into the ground on issues such as the tax plan and health care but instead got a bad case of the 'Erms' and was clearly flustered even snapping at the moderator when he was being told he was out of time.

I might write up a fuller review later on today but right now I really need to go to bed.

April Jones: Still Missing.

Police in Wales have been given a further 12 hours to question Mark Bridger over the disappearance of 5 year old April Jones. Unfortunately though they have so far failed to locate the missing girl. Although I suspect the police will be given the full 96 hours to question the suspect this creates a serious problem because as of Saturday (6/10/12) afternoon the police will either have to charge or release Bridger and even if they do have the evidence to charge him they will not be able to question him further. With a British Court now blocking the extradition of terrorism suspect Abu Hamza to the USA the April Jones case fits in perfectly to the debate about the pre-charge detention of terrorism suspects because the police's inability to question terrorism suspects after charge has been one of the main arguments for allowing terrorism suspects to be detained without charge for up to 42 days. This type of pre-charge detention goes against a long standing legal principle known as Habeas Corpus which in Latin literally means "Have the Body" which sadly seems to sum up the April Jones investigation perfectly.

Also NATO is holding a emergency top-level meeting after mortars were fired from Syria into Turkey killing five and prompting Turkey to return fire into Syria. Of course NATO must be aware of the possibility that the Saudi and Qatari Irregular Army (SQIA) fired the mortars into Turkey in order to provoke NATO military intervention in Syria under the guise of NATO's article 5 commitments. Pretty much exactly the same thing happened when Turkey flew one of it's aircraft into Syria airspace to provoke it to be shot down.

Whoo Trains.

Do you remember ages and ages ago the British government stripped Virgin Trains of the right to run the West Coast Mainline by awarding the contract to First Capital Connect (FCC). Then Virgin Trains applied for Judaical Review and the British government used this as an opportunity to reassure the world that they'd performed all due diligence in my grandmother's case. Well very late at night yesterday (2/10/12) the British government announced they will be stripping FCC of the contract and putting it back out to tender. Obviously they would like you to think that this is some admission about my grandmother's case but sadly it's just them realising after the submission from Virgin Trains what we all new - awarding the contract to FCC would bankrupt the company within three years and see the West Coast Mainline renationalised.

Anyway I think the floor might've won so I'm giving up to gravity and going to bed.

Jesus F*cking Christ Almighty.

And to think that was just a teeny tiny bit of what has been resting since way before Hackney. It's alright though it's been good so it can sleep inside tonight.

Anyway yeah I think I might need a few moments to consider my options because I'm only back inside because my iPod gave up the ghost.

So That'll Be a No Then

Sorry but in the fullness of time a draft post may appear telling you that my Blackberry Storm is now working but unfortunately the new Blogger interface refuses to work with it and enquiring if the little chaps at Google can still remember how to handle an email.

Evidently they can't so I think it's a good time to start on the really mind bending sh*t.
